This 220 degree view of Wamberal Beach captures one of my favourite local scenes in a format I could previously only imagine. Using a rotating lens camera I was able to sweep across the whole view - including both sides of the beach - each segment of the image being exposed for around two seconds. Altogether it took almost five minutes to rotate the full 220 degrees. The result was magnificent. The headlands on either side helped frame the scene as pre-dawn light flooded sky and sea with a wash of pastel. An intense burst of light in the heavens heralded the day s approach and in the foreground the surf gently lapped a fresh curve of sand in a wonderful pattern of undulating water. It was truly a glorious morning!
