The rolling hills surrounding Bega provide many stunning rural vistas, Signage on the back roads is less than desirable, but despite getting a bit lost, I found some promising locations. The weather report for this particular day indicated possible morning fog. So I rose early and headed off in search of the photographer's friend - mist. There was fog alright. It was like driving through a sauna and I had difficulty finding the location I had scouted. When I finally found the spot I was searching for, I could hear cattle lowing somewhere in the ether and could just make out some ghostly shapes. As I tried to get closer, stepping over what I thought was a normal fence gave me an electrifying experience. Regaining my composure, I settled down to wait. As the sun began to rise, the curtain of mist started to lift, revealing a wonderful new day.
