Dixons Kingdom Hut is located in the beautiful Walls of Jerusalem National Park. This simple pine hut was built by trapper and grazier, Reg Dixon, in the early 1930s. What inspires me about huts like this is the tenacity of the early explorers who were able to survive and even thrive in such harsh environments. Everything about this image shouts "resilience" to me. Reg Dixon is reflected in the landscape and in the hardiness of the trees. The full weight of weather conditions has been thrown against this environment, yet here a man found solace. These trees and the hut have weathered some of nature's harshest conditions. The lesson here seems to be, whatever is going on in your life, stand strong. You'll make it. Character can be formed through adversity.
