Mist can be a photographers best friend as I experienced here in the Omeo Valley. We had been camping down by the creek and we awoke to a real pea soup of a morning. But still I set off with my camera, knowing that mist can add a wonderful sense of mystery to a scene; it swirls across a landscape thinning in one place, thickening in another in an almost infinite variety of moods (and you never quite know what to expect!). Here the mist hung over the hillside, reminding the viewer that the night had been chill. But a golden hill shone through the blanket. It was like the promise of a warm and glorious day.
