An emerging sunrise glows like fire over the calmness of a Lake Coonjie morning. This shot shows what can result on even the most discouraging days. All night, the sky over this remote location had been clouded over. Towards dawn, it seemed there would be nothing for us to capture beyond the cloud cover. But we decided to be patient, and then this little miracle occurred. As the sun popped its head into the sky, the cloud began to dissipate. Just enough cover remained to filter the sun so it didn't overexpose the shot. The water brilliantly reflected the glow, juxtaposing it with the delicate colours of the morning sky.
