This photograph commemorates Craig's Hut, which was built for the film The Man From Snowy River and stood for years as one of the great icons of Victoria's Alpine National Park. Here it is captured against a magnificent backdrop of sweeping blue ranges and twilight sky, a spectacular addition to the hilltop upon which it was constructed. Tragically, this hut was destroyed in the fierce fires which swept through the high country in December 2006. This photograph thus has a double poignancy. Firstly it is a record of one of the country's great alpine scenes from recent decades; secondly, reaching much further back in time, it commemorates the mountain men and women who once lived so courageously in settings such as this.

Every effort has been made on this Gallery site to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken’s images. However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only to be taken as a guide.
The colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print are far superior to what can be presented on a small screen.
