Lake Elysia is a haunting place, with stark glacial rockforms (part of a World Heritage Listed area) and an often wild wind. We had been camping here in cool conditions, and waking in the morning I was amazed to find the lake as still as glass - a rare occurrence in this location. This photograph was the view from my tent. The rising sun was behind me, painting the heights of the rock formation with a bright red-gold. A line of shadow traced the profile of the mountains behind us, and the entire scene was magnificently reflected in the mirror-like waters of the lake. There are wonders to be discovered all over our planet, if only we will go and find them.
