I spend a lot of time in the red centre working with Aboriginal people to support their ideas for creating sustainable income streams through the arts and tourism. While driving through this spectacular landscape I often see great photo opportunities, but sometimes there are more important issues to deal with than taking photos. But out of my relationship with the people, opportunities do arise. On this particular day, an Aboriginal friend was showing me an old back road to Papunya, and I saw the potential for a great sunset photo, with amazing clouds drifting across the sky. As I sat there with my friend taking in this beautiful scene, we were gifted with one of the most spectacular sunsets Ive ever seen. The whole canopy was ablaze with colour, spanning the sky from east to west. For me, this sunset was a crown of glory on the amazing landscape of Haasts Bluff.
