Karijini National Park is without doubt one of Australiasnational treasures. People often consider this a young country without much history, yet the gorges here have been formed over millennia. It is actually one of the oldest geological regions on earth. In the midst of a dry and harsh landscape, here you will find a maze of chasms and cataracts with cool fresh water flowing through them all year. You can spend days exploring the various canyons, but this particular area captivated me. As I sat pondering how ancient and unchanged the place is, I was soothed by the quiet and tranquillity. I wont reveal which gorge this photo was taken in because if you really want to know, you need to go and discover it for yourself. Then you too may experience the feeling of divinity in this serene location.
