This delightful vertical segment captures a slice of the Kimberley escarpment where it meets an inlet of the sea. A blue sky brushed with cloud sweeps down to meet the edges of majestic cliffs. Over the face of the rock, streams of crystal-clear water curve and drop into the saltwater below. The inlet shallows to a sandbar in the foreground, punctuated by a scattering of tiny green mangrove shoots. Though saltwater crocodiles are occasionally seen here (a reminder of the essential wildness of this region), it is otherwise a picture of incredible calm, more than living up to its name. This is the Kimberley in one of its most beautiful poses!

Every effort has been made on this Gallery site to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken’s images. However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only to be taken as a guide.
The colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print are far superior to what can be presented on a small screen.
