On a photographic expedition with some clients, we found an interesting new sunrise angle of Uluru. While we waited for sunrise, rain began to fall gently. Sharing a few umbrellas, we held our ground, hoping the cloud may present a canvas for the light to display itself on. Instead, the rain got much heavier, and we fled to the safety of our waiting bus to return to the hotel. Thinking our photo shoot was over, we were feeling quite disheartened. But as we drove around the Rock, we realised the torrential rain had already started to produce waterfalls. So, with great excitement, we got out and started shooting in the midst of the storm. This stitched panorama of ten separate images was a difficult shot to achieve in such inclement conditions. With the rain coming down at 45 degrees, we were all pretty wet. But in the end we got some incredible shots - far better than any sunrise.
