I had been dropped into this pristine wilderness by helicopter, and for the past couple of days I had not seen another soul. Now I was waiting for the midday sun to evenly light both sides of King George Falls. Just as conditions became perfect, however, I sighted an utterly improbable dinghy that had somehow sailed right up the river from the coast! Much to my annoyance, it stopped and its occupants began fishing. I felt sure the boat would spoil my photograph but I shot the scene anyway. When the dinghy finally left, I took the shot I thought would be a winner. How wrong I was. The boat was a miraculous addition that helped give perspective to the falls. How often we are blessed beyond our own puny understanding!
