Carter Shields Cabin, gently cloaked in swirling mist, is framed beautifully by the fall foliage of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. There is a sense of mystery in the air surrounding this old log cabin. Something seems to be drawing us back to reflect on former times and a lifestyle that did not relay on all the so-called necessities of our modern age. Although the existence of our early pioneers was often difficult, there was a purity in the simplicity with which they faced the challenges of life. Hopefully this shot will remind us what a great adventure life can be.
