Like a patchwork of reflected color, this scene from rural Vermont glows with the hues of the fall - but photographing it proved quite a challenge! We had been unable to find the farmer to ask permission, so we just hoped it would be okay. Returning at sunrise, we were suddenly met by a wild stallion who tried to push us into the dam! Something had to be done (quickly!) so I punched the horse in the snout and it ran away. Soon the farmer appeared and yelled at us to be careful because there was a wild stallion in the paddock. I said I knew about horses and I'd already met the stallion (but I didn't tell him I'd hit it!) The farmer quite happily gave us permission to photograph, and this beautiful scene was the result!
