This is one of those classic scenes that appears too perfect to be true, although you might imagine it as a painting. I spent five days around the town of Jackson Hole, and frequently had to clean the condensation off my lens. When I arrived this particular morning, the whole valley was obscured by mist. Other photographers came and quickly left, including one tech-head expert who assured me I was wasting my time. Ive been here many times, he said. The mist is far too thick. Its not going to clear. I decided to stick it out, waiting to see if the Creator had something special in store. Finally the mist lifted. It left behind a few tender wisps, the merest breaths of the morning, which beautifully set off this magnificent scene.
