As a young schoolboy studying geography, I remember seeing pictures of beautiful patchwork fields in sunlit valleys in New Zealand\'s Central Otago region. Having grown up in the wide brown land of rural Australia, the vista seemed completely surreal to me.\
Fifty years on, as a fairly seasoned traveller, I was exploring the famous Nevis Valley track in the same area of New Zealand\'s south island. The whole drive is a photographer\'s delight and I had taken heaps of photos. Towards the end of the day, as we descended into the valley, I thought I could relax. Then just as we turned a corner, there was that amazing vision of patchwork fields from my childhood - and God\'s light breaking through to illuminate this magical moment.
