This is 14 Colour Mountain in Argentina, known locally as Hornacal. As one of the tour leaders on a photographic expedition, I found it hard to believe so few people visited this spectacular place. When we first arrived, there was a lot of cloud cover and we waited hours for the light to improve. We got some scattered light and several in our group were growing impatient to leave. They suggested we should start the long journey back to our hotel, but I voted to stay until the end, as I felt the light would break and give us a great sunset. We were in multiple vehicles, but when the others knew a few of us were staying, everyone decided to wait with us. How blessed we all were when suddenly this magical light appeared and we were the only ones there to capture this spectacular scene.
