Overcast mornings often make for the best sunrises, although the results are as impossible to predict as the patterns of a kaleidoscope. As seen in this photograph, all that is required is a rent in the clouds and suddenly a segment of the sky is flooded with golden-pink glory. The surrounding cloud formations reflect and highlight the beams that have broken through, and in the thinnest sections the sky appears as if backlit by rose-coloured fire. How often it is like that also in our own lives. Though our circumstances may be clouded with storms, yet the light is always shining in the background. At any moment, the splendour may break through, heralding a brand new day.
