Terrigal is one of my favourite locations and fortunately is quite close to where I live. On this particular morning I positioned myself on a rocky ledge below the The Skillion with my camera ready, and waited to see what the dawn would bring. There was little cloud in the sky to produce any drama and as the sun championed above the horizon to full strength I thought my opportunities were gone. Then, suddenly, a wave smashed and erupted before me, and I was fortunate to be able to capture its feathering fingers reaching for me. It looks to me as though the waves have risen to applaud the glory of the sun.
