Sometimes in photography, simplicity is best. And I feel this is a perfect example of that truth. I love the graphic nature of this shot, taken at Shipwreck Creek in Croajingalong National Park. All our attention is focussed on the first light of day, as it begins to pierce the darkness and herald in thesunrise. I actually really like the fact that the shadows still conceal the details of the landscape. The glorious awakening of the sun fills you with a sense of hope that all will eventually be revealed.
