The town of Kingston was founded on March 6th 1788 by Lieutenant Philip Gidley King. Twenty-two passengers (including 9 male and 6 female convicts) landed that day from HMS Supply. Polynesians had been there prior to the British but had moved on. Kingston has a very rich history, and I was fascinated by the tales I heard. The old building and the abandoned long boats help give a connection to the past. And great foreground interest like this makes it a photographer s dream. This day, I arrived well before first light, as I love seeing a new day dawn. With the last stars twinkling in the sky, and pastel hues heralding the sunrise, this was the moment I was waiting for. What a way to start a day!

Every effort has been made on this Gallery site to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken’s images. However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only be taken as a guide.
The colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print are far superior to what can be presented on a small screen.
