In order to get this shot, I had to scramble over very slippery rocks and then stand with my tripod balanced precariously over the stream. With its abundance of moss and ferns, plus the dappled sunshine and sparkling water, this whole scene radiates the life-force of a temperate forest. Yet this joyful stream will at other times become a raging torrent, covering everything that dances in the sunlight today. The energising resilience of nature is something I will never take for granted. It is such a great blessing.
