It was a huge day at Camel Rocks, near Bermagui. Waves were crashing at my feet, threatening to claw me from the safety of the rocks. Nature's power was invigorating as the arms of the ocean continued their assault. I had seen sunrise and sunset photos of this location, but was determined to come up with something very different. The big waves provided a great opportunity, as long as I didn't get washed into the sea. I had to slow everything down to convey their energy and motion, yet have the sunlight illuminate the sapphire blues of the water. It was like the ebb and flow of a musical masterpiece. Suddenly an enormous wave smashed against one of the rock pillars in a beautiful crescendo. I was safe on land for the climactic moment, but a lone sailor on the horizon is daring to ride out this wild symphony.
