During an extended stay on Norfolk Island to film a documentary, I realised that on previous visits I had merely skimmed the surface. On this trip I had time to spend with the locals and explore locations in different lighting conditions. It really was an exercise in chasing the light and waiting for the right moments. I found great locations that I visited multiple times and was often blessed with ideal conditions. I felt like there was a hand guiding me all I had to do was be sensitive, point the camera, and click away. This image of Cemetery Bay, taken in the middle of the day, was one of those special moments. When I saw the print of this image, I knew I had begun to see Norfolk Island for the Southern Pacific Jewel it truly is.

Every effort has been made on this Gallery site to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken’s images. However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only to be taken as a guide.
The colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print are far superior to what can be presented on a small screen.
