This sweeping panorama captures Nobbys Beach (just outside Newcastle Harbour) in the soft glow of twilight. A surfer, who has stopped on the path to contemplate the waves, adds a fitting sense of scale to the image. Above, the moon is rising, as if welcoming the evening. I have always loved this location, but it was only with my new Seitz Roundshot 220 camera that I was able to take in the whole scene. The Roundshot, with its rotating head, can shoot any angle up to a full 360 degrees. This photograph is a 240 degree view, which shows how the location all fits together, from the lighthouse on the left to the club house on the far right. Of added interest are the bulk carriers anchored in the background
