At the end of a long, dusty journey through Cape York Peninsula, Fruit Bat Falls greeted us like a tropical oasis. Here I wanted to capture the wonderful crispness of Eliot Creek rolling over the falls; but after hours of shooting I still felt dissatisfied. Suddenly it occurred to me I needed to see the scene in a fresh way. Up to my neck in the fresh, translucent water, I finally managed to catch what I was after with my last shot. How often we miss the very thing were looking for because were not prepared to look at things from a new perspective!
