Our indigenous Australians believe Uluru to be the centre of all dreaming. Traditionally, this area was seen as something like the hub of a wheel, with song lines (which are like spiritual connections) radiating from it across the land. That's why I have called this print Red Centre Dreaming, and I believe Uluru is now a place that is special for all Australians. From my long and ongoing relationship with this part of Australia, I would even go so far as to say that I believe a new 'song' is coming - a song of unity and reconciliation between the different cultures of our nation; indigenous and non-indigenous. Once reconciliation truly comes to this central and iconic heart, it will spread powerfully through the rest of the land.
