One of my exciting new passions is photographing wildlife. For me, it is often important to capture the animal in the landscape - to show it in its native environment. This particular shot was taken in Amboseli National Park in Kenya which is one of my favourite parts of Africa because of its natural scenic beauty as well as the abundant wildlife. In the golden light of early morning, with the temperature already climbing, we caught this bull who had separated from the elephant herd ambling down from the lowlands of Mt Kilimanjaro to feed in the grasslands and cool off in water holes. This is a truly magical time of day in Africa and we were blessed to capture this elephant in such an awesome location.
