This pretty little coastal haven on the Eyre Peninsula endures rugged weather conditions. Many ships have been wrecked in these treacherous waters. But wild weather can form great character in a landscape. This shot is a testimony to the resilience of coastal flora, as you can see in the gnarled little bushes. There are so many wonderful elements to this shot: the rich, orange lichen on the rocks in the foreground, the sense of drama in the sky and the secluded cove in the background, which appears so tranquil. I particularly like the subtle colours and textures in the rocks from the eroding cliffs. It goes to show that character is often formed through adversity.
