The sandy 4WD track that leads to Cape Peron is not for the faint hearted. But for true adventurers it is worth the trek. In the entire day I was shooting here, I only saw two other people. I just love the lavish blend of colours in this landscape turquoise ocean merges with white sand, then both give way to the rich terracotta cliff face. The unrelenting action of the sea, evident here at high tide, is continually eroding the coastline. I had to keep a close eye on the waves, as every now and then one would launch with a little more gusto than its forerunners to rush the high ground I was standing on. I just managed to capture this shot as a wave crashed onto the shoreline.
