Lord Howe Island is one of Australias hidden gems, a delightful crescent of land luxuriating in the sub-tropical splendour of the South Pacific. The sense of isolation is fantastic. Lying more than five hundred kilometres off the NSW coast, it is a land of beaches and forests, and of the famous twin peaks (seen here) of Mounts Lidgbird and Gower. This vertical shot, taken on a visit to Lord Howe with my wife and daughter, captures the utter serenity of the island. A white-flecked sky arches over the mountains, as a turquoise-coloured sea laps gently on the sand. There are few mod-cons for tourists here. It is like stepping back in time to an era when nature reigned supreme. To me, it felt like paradise!

Every effort has been made on this Gallery site to accurately represent the vibrant colours of Ken’s images. However, due to differences in computer screens and certain other variations, the images here should only to be taken as a guide.
The colour and sharpness of a finished Ken Duncan Limited Edition Print are far superior to what can be presented on a small screen.
