As I climbed to this vantage point about 200 feet above the floor of Hancock Gorge in Western Australia, I reflected that fear is no match for faith when our goal is to reach an invaluable reward. Of all the photos I took in Karajini National Park, this shot and "Emerald Waters" are my favourites. To get to this location, I had to climb through some very hazardous sections of gorge where, if you were to fall, you would suffer serious injury. At one point, with my camera gear balanced precariously on my back, I was tempted to give up. But I just felt there was something around the corner worth all the effort. And there was.
